With the support of Yad Vashem UK, The Jewish Brand has brought to light the English translations of Rachel Auerbach's seminal Yiddish works, "Yizker" and "The Jewish Revolt 1943," providing invaluable insights into the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising of 1943. Auerbach, a Jewish writer and activist born in Lanovtsy (present-day Ukraine) and a pivotal figure in the Oyneg Shabbes archive alongside her mentor Emmanuel Ringelblum, vividly chronicled the resilience and defiance of the Ghetto fighters. Her firsthand experiences, from running a soup kitchen within the Ghetto to serving as a courier, culminate in "The Jewish Revolt," her groundbreaking account of the uprising. This marks the first time Auerbach's work has been translated into English, thanks to the skilled translation by Michael Wex, with Professor Polonsky providing context through introductions to both the Warsaw Ghetto and Auerbach herself, and Rachel Riley has written an incredible foreword for the book. The Jewish Brand is also actively engaged in the development of The Jewish Revolt audiobook and additional audio materials, with the invaluable support of Tracy-Ann Oberman.
